Birth of UGUISU
UGUISU was founded by Mioko Fujisaki, who was born and raised in Fukuoka, a coastal city in the Japanese island of Kyushu.
Mioko runs a successful kitchen design and supply company, Kitchen Bee, and started UGUISU after seeing the need for high quality, made to order modular kitchen units with clear pricing at an affordable cost. Created for customers who want true value and the convenience of ordering their kitchen from the comfort of their own home.
UGUISU is the name of a Japanese bush warbler. This little bird regarded as a symbol of spring in Japan and its beautiful singing can be heard from the start of the season.

I stepped into the world of kitchen design 15 years ago, when I began working as a sales designer at a kitchen showroom. Since then, I have always worked with modular kitchens from top European manufacturers. Whenever I visit a European kitchen manufacturer, I always feel their passion to produce the very best kitchens with the latest technology. Fascinated by their efficiency and expertise in crafting cabinetry, I am excited to bring this bespoke workmanship to the UK market with UGUISU.
